DEIB Community of Practice
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging

The DEIB Community of Practice creates a platform where practitioners can network with industry peers, discuss emergent themes, showcase best practice, and benchmark against the best. The DEIB Community of Practice hosts free virtual conversations on the first Friday of every month.  See the year's calendar and register for conversations below. 

 

The value in joining the DEIB Community of Practice is severalfold:

 

  • Professional Development: Offering learning opportunities for practitioners to enhance their skills and knowledge in DEIB areas, including new research, tools, and methodologies.

  • Sharing Best Practices: Creating a platform for practitioners to share effective strategies, programs, and initiatives that have been successful in promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in various organizations.

  • Networking and Collaboration: Facilitating connections among DEIB professionals, creating opportunities for collaboration, mentorship, and support within the community.

  • Problem-Solving: Addressing specific challenges and obstacles in the field of DEIB by brainstorming and discussing potential solutions and innovative approaches.

  • Advocacy and Awareness: Raising awareness about the importance and impact of DEIB initiatives in workplaces and communities, and advocating for systemic change.

  • Resource Sharing: Providing a space for practitioners to exchange resources, such as research papers, training materials, and policy templates, to aid in the implementation of DEIB initiatives.

  • Diversity/Cultural Competency: Enhancing understanding and sensitivity towards different cultures, identities, and perspectives, thereby fostering a more inclusive and empathetic professional community.
