Diversity, Employment Equity and Transformation

The challenge of creating inclusive organisations

 

   You are invited to submit abstracts for the National Diversity, Employment Equity and

   Transformation Summit that will take place from 4th-5th December 2007 at the

    Gallagher Estate in Midrand, Johanesburg.

 

   We would like to invite abstracts that explore cutting edge methods, skills, strategies and

   theories relevant to the challenges and best practice in the fields of Diversity, Employment

   Equity and Transformation. 

 

   The theme: Diversity, Employment Equity and Transformation: The challenge of creating

   inclusive organisations serves as a guideline for proposals.  We are interested in creative

   and innovative sessions that explore the current state of affairs, best practice and future

   trends in dealing with diversity, employment equity and transformation.  Selections are based

   on relevance of the topic to the conference and usefulness to the conference attendees, as

   well as the quality and clarity of the proposal.  

  

   Please see the conference themes for possible topics.  An overall program balance will be

   maintained in the range of topics and grade levels of the participants. Presentations that

   focus on practical applications are especially considered, as well as interactive sessions.

 

   Presentation Formats

 

   The Summit organising committee is currently inviting proposals for

  •    45-minute presentations during the summit, and

  •    articles for inclusion in the Special Summit Edition: Journal for Diversity,

    •    Employment Equity and Transformation.

  

   The above mentioned presentations and articles may describe 'real world' initiatives or be

   academic research papers. The deadline for submission of presentation is 12h00 Wednesday

   12 September 2007. The deadline for submission of articles and editorials will be 12h00

   Friday 12 October 2007.

 

Call for presentations

 

Please submit the following information in the proposal for presentations:

  • Title of the proposed presentation/article.

  • Details of presenter(s): include name, current position, institution, email address, phone and fax numbers.

  • A short CV indicating experience in the field

  • Abstract of up to 150 words that provides a brief description of what will be covered in the proposed presentation/session. This will be printed in the conference program.

  • Presentation structure / format

  • Please submit the proposal for presentation/session in Microsoft Word format to the Summit organising committee at admin@diversity.co.za.

  • Submission Deadline: 12h00 Wednesday 12 September 2007.

Call for articles

 

Please submit the following information in the proposal for articles:

  • Title of the proposed article

  • Details of presenter(s): include name, current position, institution, email address, phone and fax numbers.

  • Abstract of up to 150 words that provides a brief description of the article. This will be printed in the conference program.

  • Full article to be considered for publication in the Journal

  • Please submit the proposal for article in Microsoft Word format to the Summit organising committee at admin@diversity.co.za.
